• Perform acceptance testing, commissioning and clinical radiation calibration of linear accelerators and cobalt machines used in radiation oncology treatments
• Perform patient dosimetry calculations (both computerized and manual)
• Provide clinical support to technical staff and physicians
• Set-up and supervise QC/QA procedures
• Design and/or conduct facility shielding tests and evaluations
• Conduct in-service personnel training; assist in equipment selection
• Conduct performance evaluations of treatment and related apparatus

• Perform safety surveys and performance testing of all diagnostic medical x-ray and MRI apparatus

• Calibration of survey instrumentation
• Conduct radiation and contamination surveys and supervise decontamination operations
• Preparation and reviews of radiation safety policies and procedures for Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Organizations (JCAHO) accreditation

• Providing consultations in facilities design and layoutradiation shielding design and specification, and other services in areas of professional expertise
